Britain's Aljaz Bedene reaches quarter-finals at Hamburg Open

British No 2 Aljaz Bedene reached the quarter-finals of the Hamburg Open after knocking out third-seeded Roberto Bautista Agut in straight sets.

The Slovenian-born player followed up his win over Daniel Gimeno-Traver with a hard-fought 7-6 (7-2) 7-6 (9-7) success against Bautista Agut.

Bedene, who reached the second round of Wimbledon, will now take on the winner of the match between Italian eighth seed Fabio Fognini or Albert Ramos-Vinolas from Spain for a place in the semi-finals.
