Before a sold-out TD Garden, Raw SuperShow kicked off with the hotly anticipated return of Shawn Michaels. HBK wasted no time in inviting longtime ally Triple H to the ring to explain his decision behind not only accepting The Undertaker’s challenge for a match at WrestleMania, but also demanding that the match take place inside Hell in a Cell.

After dismissing HBK’s suggestion that being unfavorably compared to Michaels is what led him to accept the match, Triple H acknowledged HBK’s WrestleMania XXVI loss to The Phenom – a loss that sent Michaels into retirement – and stated that it pains him to look at Michaels as a “loser.” The Game said that when he steps into Hell in a Cell with The Undertaker at WrestleMania, he’ll end both The Undertaker, and his Streak, in HBK’s honor.

Visibly taken aback by the comment, an offended Michaels told Triple H that, much like last year, he knows who’s going to win The Undertaker-Triple H match this year because he will serve as special guest referee.

Triple H makes his entrance to Raw SuperShow in order to clarify last Monday's events.

The Game begins with his first order of business: he had intended to fire John Laurinaitis, but the Interim Raw GM has pleaded his case to the WWE Board of Directors, whose decision is forthcoming.

But as for The Undertaker, The Cerebral Assassin announces to the WWE Universe that he declines The Deadman's WrestleMania challenge.

The Cerebral Assassin claims The Undertaker's pride exceeds his limitations, and out of respect, he refuses to be the one to put The Phenom away.

"This is over," declares The King of Kings.

The arena lights go black and The Undertaker appears on the TItanTron, declaring "this isn't over."

"Give me what is mine: vengeance," declares The Deadman, and in return, The Game will have one more chance to end the streak.

Before WWE COO Triple H addressed the situation involving The Undertaker, he informed the WWE Universe that Executive Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis’ fate as Interim Raw General Manager would be decided by the Board of Directors later.

When The Game turned his attention to The Deadman, he acknowledged that The Phenom’s return to Raw SuperShow last week was indeed to challenge Triple H to a rematch at WrestleMania XXVIII. The Cerebral Assassin spoke of his respect for everything that The Undertaker has done in his career. However, The Game also claimed that last week when The Phenom returned, he did not feel intimidated by The Undertaker.

WWE's COO played two videos, one that highlighted the dominant force that The Deadman has represented in WWE, and another that captured the aftermath of their epic struggle at WrestleMania XXVII, when The Phenom had to be carried out on a stretcher. Triple H turned down The Undertaker's challenge, and claimed he had too much respect for The Deadman and saying "it's over."

Before The Game could leave the ring, a video played showing The Undertaker in a room watching clips from the physical battle at The Show of Shows last year in Atlanta. The Phenom's message for Triple H was clear, give The Deadman another epic WrestleMania match, and have one more chance to end The Streak and further cement the legend of The Game.

Main event announced

Raw SuperShow kicked off with the announcement of the evening’s main event.  Raw Elimination Chamber participants; CM Punk, R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, The Miz, Dolph Ziggler and Chris Jericho would square off in a Six Pack Challenge to determine whose Elimination Chamber pod would be the last to open at the pay-per-view event.

As John Laurinaitis gave himself high job ratings, WWE COO Triple H came out to call the Interim GM a spineless backstabber. After making him sweat out what his fate would be – including hinting at a Gauntlet Match and joining the legendary Kiss My Ass Club – The Game said he was going “to do what needs to be done.” But just as it sounded as if Triple H were going to wish Laurinaitis well in his future endeavors, The Undertaker’s ominous gong sounded, announcing his dark presence.

(Undertaker confronts Triple H) As The Phenom made his way to the ring in front of a shocked WWE Universe, Triple H stood equally as stunned. As the two sized each other up, The Phenom signaled for Triple H’s demise, while focusing his dark gaze on the WrestleMania XXVIII banner high over head. After some intense moments with no words spoken, The Gamed patted Undertaker on the shoulder and walked out of the ring.

In the most anticipated WrestleMania clash in history, John Cena will collide with The Rock at WrestleMania XXVIII, emanating from The Great One’s hometown of Miami.

Few could have anticipated that two of sports-entertainment’s most celebrated icons would ever meet in the squared circle, let alone on The Grandest Stage of Them All. Yet, the WWE Universe will bear witness to this blockbuster collision on Apr. 1, 2012 – one year after The Cenation Commander-in-Chief and “The Most Electrifying Man in All of Entertainment” agreed to battle in a dream match for the ages.

Following a seven-year absence, The Rock returned to WWE in characteristically grand fashion in early 2010 to host WrestleMania XXVII. Although The People’s Champion was overjoyed to be reunited with his millions – and millions – of fans at long last, he was quick to take aim at Cena, sparking a very public war of words with his fellow multi-time World Champion.

The verbal jousts escalated to physical confrontation in the weeks that followed, and it became abundantly clear that the pair would cross paths at The Showcase of the Immortals in one way or another. Ultimately, in front of a record-breaking crowd of more than 71,000 WWE Universe members in Atlanta’s Georgia Dome, The Rock put an exclamation point on his rivalry with Cena by hitting him with a Rock Bottom, a maneuver that afforded The Miz the opportunity to retain his coveted WWE Championship. The following night on Raw, these two icons faced off once again, but this time the physicality was limited to a handshake. For the first time in history, a WrestleMania main event was made one year prior to the event itself.

Cena and The Rock forged an unstable alliance to combat The Awesome Truth – an outspoken tandem consisting of The Miz & R-Truth – at the monumental 25th annual Survivor Series in Madison Square Garden. Although “The Most Charismatic Tag Team of All Time” kept their cool for the most part as they battled common enemies, The People’s Champ issued a forceful WrestleMania reminder to his temporary tag team partner after their victory when he nailed Cena with yet another Rock Bottom. If you ask Alberto Del Rio, his destiny to become World Heavyweight Champion was simply delayed at WrestleMania. Also according to The Mexican Aristocrat, he was moments away from making World Heavyweight Champion Edge tap out to his Cross Armbreaker.

However, on the first SmackDown after their WrestleMania bout, 11-Time World Champion Edge reminded Del Rio that he just couldn’t get the job done.

Furious at The Rated-R Superstar’s taunting – combined with the fact that Edge defaced his Rolls Royce at WrestleMania and again on SmackDown – Del Rio called for a rematch. Although the champion rebuffed Del Rio’s demands – suggesting he buy a new car and get to the back of the challenger line – SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long granted Del Rio’s wishes with a No. 1 Contender’s Match against Christian.

 After successfully defeating Captain Charisma, Del Rio quickly put himself back in the hunt for Edge’s title. But has he bitten off more than he can chew?

At Extreme Rules, Del Rio will face The Ultimate Opportunist in a bout deemed to be his specialty – the Ladder Match. If The Grandest Stage of Them All presented a challenge for Del Rio, certainly he faces an even greater one at Extreme Rules.
